TOM SMITH TECH

Hey Reader,

One of the most important things you can do is keep your software and devices up to date.

Microsoft releases updates monthly, on a day affectionately known as Patch Tuesday.

This months updates are especially important. There are fixes for 6 actively exploited zero-days. Here's what is patched.

A zero-day exploit is one that is currently being abused by hackers, with no patch available.

Needless to say, installing updates regularly is very important!

Open Settings on your PC, then click Windows Update, and check to see if you're current. If not, install them ASAP.

Mac user?

Make sure you're on Sonoma v14.6.1. It was released on August 7th.

Thanks, and if you have any question or need help just hit reply.
